• Can you predict the time for the first place winner of the men’s or women’s 100 yard dash in the next Olympics?

• What is the predicted length in minutes of the average movie in 2020?

• How is the average monthly temperature changing from year to year?

You have entered the “real world” but you are finding that math is still everywhere!  It’s your team’s job to determine the best way to make one of these predictions mathematically using scatterplots and bring these real world examples into the classroom using your knowledge of linear equations and slope.
