The Task

Whether you want to be a sports manager, chef, athlete, run a movie production company, be an environmentalist or many other professions, you will often come across two items that need to analyzed.  One of the best ways to do this is through a scatterplot and line of best fit.

In a group of 3, you will…

• individually learn about parts of a scatter plot and each create a slide on Google Sheets describing the parts of a scatter plot

• work together to create a scatter plot based upon your selected profession and make reasonable predictions using your line of best fit

• with your team present your findings using your Google Sheets pages

 Through the use of mathematics, you will accurately use your scatterplot to predict the future!
