Is there a relationship between the grams of fat and the calories in foods served in restaurants?
You are a chef for a local restaurant and you want to know how grams of fat compare to the number of calories in various foods. It is up to you to research this information using the links below, then create a scatterplot of the information and make predictions based upon your line of best fit.
Your Team’s Steps:
- Collect data for a specific restaurant (ex. Houlihans, Chipotle, Its Greek to Me…) by typing the restaurant in the search bar and then select 15 items off of the menu.
- Create a table of menu items with their corresponding grams of fat and calories on your Google Sheets team page, slide #4.
- Create a scatter plot of your data using the Technology Master’s knowledge on your Google Sheets team page, slide #4.
- Make a line of best fit for you data using the Futurist’s knowledge on your Google Sheets team page, slide #4.
- Make a prediction(s) on slide #5 of your Google Sheets team page based upon the number of grams of fat and the calories. Give a specific example.
